One way that new technologies can better acknowledge and support the LGBTQ+ during this session is by asking users to include the pronouns they wish to be called.

One thing that Chris woods and Ben Barre have in common is the LGBTQ+ and the issues that they unfortunately have to face. Ben Barre was a neuroscientist that studied glial cells. His book describes his experiences both as a female scientist(before transitioning) and then as a transgender scientist. He talks about the differences in his experiences as it pertains to his scientific work. Chris Woods talked about the misconceptions and Biases the LGBTQ+ face.
