The election technology Esther and I chose was Information Technology(IT). With the popular use of social media today it is very easy for false information to spread. Major social media platforms have taken measures before the election to be able to control the spread of false information to the public. Top state officials who oversee elections also said they were also constantly communicating with local authorities about the surge of falsehoods.
